So, take hold of the monkey mind. See it for it is: the child playing victim to every impulse of reality. Scurrying to conclusions and assumptions and constantly finding something, anything, to fill the silence that is possible in each context. See the rationality that this brings, or lack thereof and acknowledge that when you pay heed to the outputs of this facet in self. This mind serves a purpose of exploration, and there is a time and place for it (as with every thing), and as with tools, reliance on one is a sure fire way of creating a single point of failure. So strengthen the resolve of the observer and enlist the help of the monkey mind when it is fit to do so. Should it provide you with head noise that only bodes to hinder your current moment, then that is a clear message to set it to rest until later.

Tools are to be used. The ego serves a purpose too. It is when these tools take control and attempt their coup on the vessel that it is our responsibility to set the tool back into its place and continue as the creator, builder, or any other analogy of construction.

Use discernment.
