The inner lull of external validation can pull even the most strongly cantered. There is a social component to the identity we remand of ourselves, that one must have ‘social proof’ that they are how they say they are. For else what is a merit if given with only the receiver as the audience? Coupled with the common desire to be seen, or more so: understood. It can often be our feelings that work to rock the boat of security that is the bank of our decisions. Is this the ‘right’ path if you are the only one upon it to be seen by zero else? Well change the metric, measure to an inner compass of intuition and pathfinding. Does this serve me? How do I generally feel? Is there a spark? How does this factor to my vision? Why waste the time to impress the very people that only live their own lives. One may be faced with the obstacle of social proof, and it is then that they are given the opportunity to cement their self-esteem and the security of their decisions. Actions pays tenfold when done with confidence.

Meditate.
