If the action strongly asks for an alternative, then carefully consider the impact that consistently doing the less ideal route will have. There are cycles of our lives that can involve working in or for a business we lament, and there are actions that are the same. It is ideal to recognise that what can be held for the short term may become damaging in the long term. Such that if one carries on in an action long enough, they risk forming a habit from it, and ultimately adjusting their baseline. Missing something for a couple days is better than missing it consistently for a month or more. Allowing certain thought patterns every once in a while, as to otherwise allow them to flourish constantly. It is what is happening the majority (70-80%) of the time that dictates how the rest of the covered bases in life look.
