To lack in preparation is to be made up with patience, to lack the patience one must make it up with preparation. To this there is a balance, and to that we find a systematic peace. Thus, there must be room for both in all experiences, that the judgement of one’s life must involve both, for if weighed toward either ideal, one will find their immense folly sooner than they’d expect. One implies the other as the other implies the one. In this we may grip with the darkness for it is implies the light, and to that one may travel in so far as to adopt a shadow, at which is cancelled out just as fast. This dual implication leaves all actions to hold an implied alternate action, and as such provide the framework for the continuation of time. For if it were to stop, enthalpy would be set in one way or the other, net zero is the aim, always.
