Lust and the like portray a lie to the mind. For if the ultimate ending and drive/consequence of sex is pleasure, then surely there are better more fulfilling and for longer ways of finding such an outcome. Even if one were to expand on the desire to be mended in the need for validation, superiority, and status, there are still many more ways and means to achieve such outcomes that move the art of procreation, off the table.
Biblical reasoning aside, casual sex tentatively becomes toxic to the neurochemistry of the body and mind. Within which the biological means of sex involve the bonding of the mother-father to ensure the offspring are cared for. As with all biological means, if resisted and fought consistently and long enough, the body can be swayed to an unhealthy state. From which the mother-father cannot bond, and thus the health of the offspring is at risk. If the ultimate goal is to form the life-long connection of love from which offspring may be possible… then ensuring the health of the biological mechanisms that make up such connection, is necessary; and is to be guarded at all times.
Simply put, if one can see only short-term with a potential partner then it is best to await further confirmation for long-term viability. Once such has been found, then by all means: enrich the soul and connect as one.
In the meantime, status can be accentuated through the retrieval and creation of sought-after resources, pleasure can be found in the practice of new skills and expressions of creativity within the liberal arts. Validation can be found in incredible feats of strength, the well-sculpted body, and the creation of many projects publicly exposed to society. Superiority? The above brings you one step closer to that. It is only prayed that one would see such superiority, validation, and status are futile attempts of filling a void that only unconditional self-love can fill. For an infinite void, requires an infinite substance to fill it. Unconditional self-love.
Meditate.
