Quiet contemplation can make known the most striking of truths. One of which is found in the ability to stem emotional reaction until a fuller understanding of the external stimuli. Regardless of the stimuli, we can feel the emotion in question without out action or disturbance in the physical plane. There is a fine line between suppression and control, where in one you work to feel nothing… the other is feeling the anger (or otherwise) with the continual decision to keep still in the feeling, to contemplate upon it. To sit as an outside observer to the thoughts that ensue, the various experiences of different parts of the body while the emotion (e-motion, energy) ripples throughout.

To be as a rock sits in a forest, causing zero disturbance, to just be. We are here to recognize and innerstand the wholeness and connectedness of God. Meditate, contemplate, innerstand, and remind yourself that it is better to go slow and understand, than speed through skating on little to zero understanding.

To be still is to move the imposition of will from the external, to forego the need to control externally, and to move it to yourself. Pick a point of light in your naval, focus upon it, and imagine yourself slowing fading into the background, as significant as the pebble on the ground, the tree, rooted for years.

Meditate.
